Jim Beagle

Jim has over 30 years experience building and leading international operations in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) and the US for a number of technology companies spanning software, hardware and IT services. He served as CEO of Extraprise International; Divisional VP of Object Design; European Director of UIS (one of the companies that formed Sprint), and a number of sales and marketing roles at ICL (now part of Fujitsu). In addition to his success in building businesses Jim has significant experience in M&A transactions on both the sell and buy side. He has also served as an outside director for a number of companies and is currently on the board of Bridgehead Software and EquipLine. He holds a degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Henley Management College.

Neil Cohn

Neil Cohn is currently a senior advisor in environmental markets, agriculture, and energy efficiency at The Carbon War Room, Richard Branson’s nonprofit focused on advancing climate change solutions. He was previously Senior Vice President of Environmental Financial Products at Macquarie Bank Limited., where he managed one of the largest carbon offset portfolios in North America. He was also Managing Director at Natsource where he jointly established the energy industry’s first active carbon trading desk. Earlier in his career he was a Founding Partner of Penfold Limited an Asian-based communities trading company and serviced as a Principal at Glencore International, an international commodities trading company. Mr. Cohn served on President Obama’s Transition Team (Council on Environmental Quality) as an Advisor for cap and trade policy.

Peter Fusaro

Peter Fusaro ne of the leading authors and speakers on the topic of hedge funds, risk management, and energy and environmental trading markets, he has written over a dozen books, including NY Times Best Seller What Went Wrong at Enron, and recently Cut Carbon, Grow Profits. Peter is Chairman of Global Change Associates in New York, which provides strategic advice to financial service and energy companies on cleantech, carbon trading and renewable energy. He has a BA from Carnegie-Mellon University and an MA in International Relations from Tufts University.

Andrei Marcu

Andrei Marcu is head of Regulatory Affairs, Environment and Climate Change for Mercuria Energy Trading S.A. Since 1993, Mr. Marcu has been actively involved in many areas of climate change related initiatives, including as Chief Executive Officer of BlueNext, the environmental exchange, based in Paris. Mr. Marcu has also acted as President and CEO of International Emissions Trading Association (IETA), a world-class business association with offices in Geneva, Brussels, Washington and Ottawa. Mr. Marcu has been charged with the responsibility of the IETA’s Canadian membership and activities. He also acted as Senior Managing Director of the Word Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) in charge of Energy and Climate.

Susan E. Wood

Susan Wood is a clean energy and emissions markets expert with over 15 years in the field.  Most recently she started up and was the CEO of SCC Americas, the US subsidiary of international renewable energy and carbon market project developer Sindicatum Carbon Capital (SCC).  Prior to this she was part of the original team and the US Market Manager for AgCert International, one of the first Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project developers in the market and the first to go public on the London Stock Exchange.  She also spent 5 years on the emissions, oil and gas marketing desks of Sempra Energy Trading and Enron.  She is a regular visiting lecturer for the Yale School of Environmental Management and Forestry, an active speaker at emissions and clean energy conferences, and continues to maintain an active role in the development of future US and international carbon and renewable energy programs.
